What Can I Do To Escape Tax Debt?

Dealing with the Internal Revenue Service is never a pleasant experience. It probably reminds you of when you used to run around the playground during school only to be stopped by an angry teacher. Back then, that angry teacher couldn’t be paid off—you were in trouble one way or another. The good news is that the IRS can be paid off. An OIC refers to a negotiation between the IRS, where you give your side of the story and then make a compromise (in a lump sum or monthly installment), awaiting the IRS’ decision. There is also an option for a partial payment installment agreement where you have a longer period of time to pay off a large debt. However, these are just options that will help you delay payment.
