Adopt a School
Education is the best weapon against poverty. Unfortunately, our government is sorely lacking in resources. Consider these figures. The ideal gross teacher to student ratio is one teacher for every 34 students. Actual public school class size is usually in excess of 60 pupils.
Sometimes. there can even be as many as 100 pupils in a class. Add to that the lack of book facilities and it’s not surprising that our students have not been doing well in school.
The foundation encourages families, businesses and communities to address the needs of the public school in their immediate neighborhood. Volunteers can support the school feeding program, donate additional textbooks and school supplies, or boost the shelves of school libraries. Companies or organizations with ample resources can sponsor learning kits or help build classrooms, libraries and science laboratories.
